WCT Auditions for the 8x10 Play Festival
What is the 8x10 Play Festival?
We asked people to write a 10-minute play around the theme of Smalltown, IL and Mayor Bob. We whittle the submissions down to 8 scripts which we produce with 8 directors and 8 casts. It's a fun production with a low time commitment. We'll announce the 8 selected scripts after July 23.
We asked people to write a 10-minute play around the theme of Smalltown, IL and Mayor Bob. We whittle the submissions down to 8 scripts which we produce with 8 directors and 8 casts. It's a fun production with a low time commitment. We'll announce the 8 selected scripts after July 23.
Time commitment for actors is typically 1 rehearsal a week over 3 weeks, 2 tech rehearsals + 3 performances in one weekend. A great way to get on stage without the time commitment of a full production.

Auditions Dates
Tuesday, August 8 from 7-9
Wednesday, August 9 from 7-9
No appointments. Prepare nothing. We will provide audition material and give you time to review it.
Rehearsals
1 in-person rehearsal each week for 3 weeks (directors may use Zoom to supplement if needed)
In-person rehearsals Tuesday or Wednesday (this will be figured out by your director)
